Dionne Brown - Youth Leader 2007-2009
Our AYS theme for 2008/2009 is “Get connected, be doers for God.”
It really is as simple and as self explanatory as it sounds.
Through mentoring, bible study, evangelism, socials and training,
we pray that the Holy Spirit will empower, equipt and encourage the
youth to be infectious, powerful Disciples of Christ.
Bible study and Evangelism is our focus. Getting the youth to a mental
place, where they are confident to express truth and defend their faith.
The events we will do this year are;
Bible study every 2nd and 4th Sabbath
Youth retreat
Evening of Praise and Testimony
Agape Feast
Youth week of Prayer
Vocal and audio workshops
Exchange programmes
Training youth to be Lay Preachers and Bible workers
Each Quarter we will cover a different topic;
1st - Who is God that I should be mindful of him?
2nd - Apologetics
3rd - Putting Evangelism into practice, and it's importance
4th - Being doers for God
