How was your life before you came to Christ?
At school or church I sometimes would get into trouble when I reacted to the tormenting behaviour of my peers. For example it was near the end of a school day when a pupil was talking disgraceful things about my nanny who died some months ago. I went over to that pupil and punched and kicked him because he hurt my feelings. He always talks to me in that manner I have had enough of it as a result I was punished by the head teacher for my behaviour.
How did you come to Christ?
I was born, blessed and brought up in Camp Hill church by my parents, also I had my nanny who attended the same church, I always stayed close to her and she always said that I should never leave church and always stay close to God because the life that we are going to live in heaven is better than this life.
What was your life like since you came to Christ?
Now at school when my peers tease or torment me, I no longer retaliate physically instead I take a deep breath and then I pray in my head, as I was advised by my parents. The teasing has decreased by 70% and I feel a lot more peaceful and happier.
Why is Camp Hill special to you?
Camp Hill church has a number of activities where I am given the opportunity to participate in these activities: the PA system, Drama, Pathfinders, Sabbath School & the choir, etc.
Do you have a favourite hymn/prayer/scripture?
My favourite hymn is number 44 ‘Morning has Broken’, because it reminds me that God has allowed me to see another day of his creation in action it assures me that he is real.
My favourite prayer is the prayer that my mother taught me: ‘In this bed I lie Lord in heaven hear me prayer protect my mummy, daddy, nannies, grand-dads, uncles, aunties, cousins, friends and me, safe until the morning light. Amen.’ I love this prayer because it helps me to include people that I know also it taught me how to pray.
My favourite scripture is John 3:16 because it talks about how I can have eternal life and it is an encouragement for me.
